The Central States Rotary Youth Exchange Conference was, to say the least, the BEST WEEKEND EVER. What an amazing experience! I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. I now have friends on every continent (except Antartica- but I'll get there ;). I learned so much too- the nitty gritty, like what credit cards to use, what to pack, etc, as well as the fun stuff- the best foods, the best activities, and how to have the most fun!
I now have two good friends in Colombia, with plans to see them while I'm down there. The excitement level for my exchange went from 100 to 10000000000 in only three days. Being able to dance, swim, talk, and overall just have a good time with so many different people was a unique experience that I'll never forget. And just to think that this is only the beginning!
Thank you to everyone who made Grand Rapids happen- it was truly a weekend that I will never forget. Now I am better equipped (And SUPER excited) to begin my exchange.
